Christian Grey Speaks – His Side of Fifty Shades of Grey

If you are still fantasizing about Christian Grey, then you are in luck.   On June 1, 2015, it was announced that E L James is releasing a new version of her bestselling novel, Fifty Shades of Greydue out on June 18, 2015.  Fans of the trilogy will recognize this date as Christian’s birthday.   The new book – Grey – is written from Christian’s point of view.    In a statement released through Vintage Anchor (paperback imprint of Penguin Random House), James is dedicating the new book to readers who had “asked…and asked…and asked…asked” for a novel narrated by Christian.  James adds: “Christian is a complex character,  and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story.”

National Trails Day – June 6, 2015

June 6th is American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, the country’s largest celebration of trails.  It’s the perfect time to take advantage of the wonderful hiking opportunities Cheshire has to offer.  The Cheshire Library has a display located on the main and lower levels with trail maps for the various hiking areas in Cheshire.  Come on it, grab a map or two and enjoy some great scenery!  The Cheshire Land Trust will have a two-hour exploration of the Old Farms Reserve and DeDominicis Property on Saturday from 9-11.  They will be meeting at 9:00 am at Old Farms Preserve on Old Farms Road.  For other activities throughout the state, check the Connecticut Woodlands website here.

Everyone has had some kind of interaction with a nurse – starting from the day you were born!   In 1994, May 6-12 (May 12th is Florence Nightingale’s birthday) was officially designated National Nurses Week.  It is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on, and appreciate, the vital role that nurses play in our lives.  If the opportunity arises, please take the time to thank a nurse for all they do.
