Did you know that Cheshire Library has passes available for Cheshire residents to museums throughout Connecticut? A new addition to our collection is a pass to the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury.
The Mattatuck Museum was established as the Mattatuck Historical Society in 1877 to preserve the history of that part of Connecticut “anciently known as Mattatuck” – roughly the ten town region surrounding present-day Waterbury. The Mattatuck Museum collects, preserves, studies, and exhibits American art and history with a focus on the art and cultural history of Connecticut.
An added bonus to this museum pass is that it is good at not only the Mattatck Museum, but several other museums in New England, including:
New Britain Museum Of American Art (New Britain, CT)
Lyman Allyn Art Museum (New London, CT)
Bush-Holley Historic Site (Cos Cob, CT)
Danforth Museum of Art (Framingham, MA)
Fitchburg Art Museum (Fitchburg, MA)
And more!
Plan a day trip to one of these wonderful museums this summer, and save money with a museum pass from Cheshire Library. Museum passes are available to Cheshire residents on a first-come, first-served basis.
